This snapshot of information provides general details about accomplishments, progress, and timeliness of activities and task.
Hawaiʻi's Grant Team is lead by the Executive Office on Early Learning, Hawaiʻi P-20 Partnerships for Education, the University of Hawaiʻi System, the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education, Department of Health, the Department of Human Services, and Hawaii State Public Charter School Commission along with other support partners and our collaboration efforts.
Through this grant, the State’s goal is to ensure that families have increased knowledge to advocate and make informed decisions for their children’s well-being and that children have access to early childhood services and experience successful transitions across early childhood care and education settings into kindergarten and the early grades.
Another of the State’s goals is to establish systems for all providers of all settings to share best practices and for a cycle of continuous improvement across agencies, programs, and services to become institutionalized for the benefit of all children and their families, including the most vulnerable.
We want to ensure data is available to inform program quality, good policy decisions, and smooth transitions for children.
